Ray Mirra is a name that has become synonymous with success and notoriety. Born in Alma, Oregon in 1931 Ray Mirra moved with his family to Boston, Massachusetts. There he became a famous writer and biographer of renowned figures such as architect Ray Ellington, airline pilot Jack Swartz, baseball player Tom Seaver, actor Walter Matthau and singer Frank Sinatra. The Ray Mirra biographies have been used as a reference for many books, movies and television shows.

At the age of thirty Ray met again famous lady pilot Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who was thirty-five years his age. They were married for fourteen years and had two children. Their marriage ended in divorce when Jacqueline had an abortion. She was thirty-five years older at the time.

After the divorce he continued to work hard writing several books on successful people and business. In his first biography “The Making of America’s Future” he wrote about his mother, his experiences in the film industry and his experience climbing the heights of the New York Skyline. “Raymond on Speed” was another book that gained popularity. It was about his relationship with another young man, Bobby Boucher. He wrote the book while living in Florida. The book was later made into a motion picture.

“The Last Paradise” is considered to be one of his finest works where he relates the life of a rich Spanish buccaneer by the name of Antonio Salieri. He also reveals the real personality behind the character of Salieri, who was a feared pirate. Mirra also tells how Salieri became a confidant of President John F. Kennedy and how he assisted the president in many ways including getting the administration to release funds to help build the Texas radio station KQED in San Francisco. The biographer also explains how Salieri fell out with the Bay of Pigs and the Spanish Revolution.

Raymond Mirra

“Raymond Versus Beverly” is a novel written by Mirra. In this book he is obviously referring to his first meeting with her. Mirra used to be engaged to another man called Richard Nixon. In this novel she discloses her affair with him and goes after his former lover. This book was later made into a film starring Clint Eastwood.

A biography on Raymond Mirra Monroe would not be complete without mentioning his two other films that he has made. Firstly, he appeared in the film “Lucky Number Slevin” as an extra. Secondly he appeared in the second version of the film “Get Shorty”. Both of these films went well to make him an even more popular actor.

Biographer

A Ray Mirra biography would also fail to mention the most important aspect about Ray, which was his love for foreign languages. This is because of the fact that he was unable to fluently learn English until the mid nineteenth century. This did not deter him from learning a number of languages including French, Spanish, German and Italian. Even today Ray can fluently speak many languages, all of which are spoken by his great grandchildren. This is why the biographer of Ray Monroe should also write about the great lady’s passion for languages.

Lastly, we can say that Ray Mirra was a very talented woman. However, she failed to appreciate the importance of being sensitive to other people’s feelings. She could have been more understanding towards others had she paid more attention to how she was received by the people around her. It is also possible that she would have become a much better and happier person if she paid more attention to how she was perceived by other people.
